Recently discovered that a certain overseas travel platform has integrated USDT payments, and I tried it out—feels really convenient. The biggest hassle when booking hotels and flights abroad used to be currency exchange issues—bank exchange rates and cross-border fees were quite costly. Now, paying directly with USDT means no more messing with currency exchange processes, and the exchange rate is anchored to the US dollar, so there's basically no risk of exchange rate fluctuations.

More importantly, the transaction speed is fast, usually completed within minutes, much faster than traditional cross-border payment methods. For people who travel abroad frequently or foreign tourists visiting China, this payment method can save a lot of trouble. Plus, paying with stablecoins means no worries about price volatility affecting purchasing power, just like using local currency.

The payment process is also quite simple, similar to regular payments—digital assets are directly converted for consumption, and each transaction is clear with no hidden fees. Now, spontaneous trips can be much more worry-free.

Now the banks are in trouble. Using USDT to bypass the currency exchange process is so cool!

Wait, can this really be used directly? Isn't there still a bunch of messy KYC processes involved?

This stablecoin payment really changed my experience of going abroad, I no longer have to get cut by bank exchange rates. Instant到账 is amazing, faster than Swift by a mile. I just want to know when domestic platforms can also follow up on a large scale, they can't always let overseas platforms take the spotlight, right? I'm a bit worried about future regulations, but for now, it's still enjoyable to use. Using USDT as money, there's really no turning back 😂

Damn, now I can avoid all the pitfalls of currency exchange. But is USDT liquidity really stable, or does it depend on who’s backing the platform? That’s right, instant transactions are really convenient, faster than SWIFT by a mile. Wait, could the platform’s risk control suddenly screw you over someday? Stablecoins sound great, but I’m just worried about a chain breaking somewhere. Is it true? Going out to play and still worried about wallet security—kind of a hassle. If this becomes widespread, the bank’s currency exchange department will have to lay off staff, haha.

This is what Web3 should look like—bringing payments back to their essence.

Stablecoins do have potential for travel payments, but there's a detail worth considering—USDT's on-chain settlement is fast, but what about the KYC verification for platform deposits and withdrawals? Theoretically, the entire process may not be significantly faster than traditional cross-border payments. Clarification is needed on the data aspect.
