Strategy’s CEO recently stated that while the company does not rule out selling its Bitcoin holdings, paying dividends remains the top priority.

“What’s important is paying our dividends, more important than not selling Bitcoin,” the CEO explained. According to the company’s analysis, even if Bitcoin’s price were to decline by 50%, Strategy could continue using Bitcoin to pay dividends through approximately 2065.

Despite this flexibility, the CEO emphasized that Bitcoin remains a core component of the company’s long-term strategy. “Bitcoin is always an important purchase and a good buy for us at any point in time,” he noted.

The company’s recent large Bitcoin purchase was strategically timed based on internal financial stability metrics and favorable stock liquidity conditions.

Focus on Long-term Performance

Strategy maintains a long-term perspective on Bitcoin rather than reacting to short-term market volatility. “For the last 5 years, what we’ve been doing is bullish for the Bitcoin market and so we don’t think about it week to week,” the CEO stated.

Response to MSCI Proposal

The company has formally responded to MSCI’s proposal to exclude companies with more than 50% of assets in digital assets, arguing that such exclusion would be discriminatory.

During recent remarks, the CEO described the MSCI proposal as both “misinformed” and “misguided.” He questioned the premature nature of such decisions, saying: “It just seems early to make a decision that digital assets shouldn’t be an area that people should invest in.”
