Original Title: Real Finance Raises $29 Million… Full-Scale Expansion of Institutional RWA Infrastructure
Original Link:
Real World Asset(RWA) tokenization platform Real Finance has raised $29 million(approximately 42.6 billion KRW) in private funding, kicking off full-scale RWA infrastructure development. The funds will be used to establish a technical foundation that makes it easier for institutional investors to adopt tokenized assets.
This funding round was led by digital asset investment firm Nimbus Capital, which contributed $25 million(approximately 36.8 billion KRW). Magnus Capital, Precaz Group, and others also participated, bringing the total funding to $29 million.
Real Finance plans to use the funds to expand its regulatory compliance and operational infrastructure, aiming to build a complete RWA-as-a-Service platform. The goal is to create a comprehensive platform that institutional investors can practically operate, not just simple exchange rate-based tokenization.
In the short term, the company aims to tokenize $500 million(approximately 735.2 billion KRW) worth of real-world assets. This represents about 2% of the RWA currently circulating in the market. The company emphasized that this goal is realistically achievable.
So far, the RWA market has centered around U.S. Treasury bonds, private credit markets, and institutional-only alternative funds. However, recently, it has expanded to include public assets such as equities and other diverse asset types. Tokenization is becoming a core technology as traditional assets and crypto converge.
Industry experts view RWA tokenization as a representative case demonstrating the real utility of blockchain technology. In particular, high-yield alternative assets, which are difficult for individual investors to access, can be divided into small units via blockchain, providing equal access rights.
Market Interpretation
The tokenization of real-world assets is breaking down the boundaries between traditional finance and crypto, expanding the scope of blockchain technology. Real Finance’s infrastructure expansion could be a key link in the growth of the RWA market.
Strategic Points
It is important to pay attention to the expansion of institution-focused asset tokenization platforms. In particular, analysis of projects that have secured a real user base, centered on stable RWAs such as U.S. Treasury bonds, is expected to become increasingly important.
