US Senator: Will the crypto regulation bill pass before Christmas? Key provisions have yet to be finalized by the White House

Abstract generation in progress

[Crypto World] U.S. Senator Mark Warner recently revealed that he hopes to finalize the crypto market structure bill before the Christmas holiday, but it’s not going to be easy. Where are things stuck? The White House has yet to provide specific language on ethics provisions and quorum requirements.

All sides are indeed engaged in intense negotiations, but Warner emphasized that this can’t be rushed and must be carefully considered. On the other hand, Senator Elizabeth Warren and her group are playing the national security card—they want to subject crypto firms to stricter scrutiny, aiming to prevent potentially gray-area token offerings.

With these divisions out in the open, it’s likely that the bill won’t be passed in the short term and will require more time to hammer out.

Get it done before Christmas? Yeah, right. The White House hasn't even settled on the terms yet. --- It's the same old national security excuse. The Warren sisters are really trying to kill the whole industry. --- Let them drag it out—I mean, we've long since gotten used to waiting. Haven't we waited enough in 2024 already? --- Morality clauses? Ha, that word is really ironic when used on politicians. --- Warner says you can't rush it, but honestly, I think it's because they really can't get it done, haha. --- Here we go again with the gray area excuse. Feels like it's always the same reason every time. --- If they really drag this out until next year, what's the crypto world supposed to do? --- That's just how efficient the White House is. How can they even compare to us fast-iterating developers?

Done before Christmas? Dream on, the White House hasn't even finalized the wording.

Same old routine again: the White House delays, Warren tries to choke things up, and the bill review process is just like cross-chain bridging—forever loading, basically [dog head].

The White House is delaying again? Finalizing before Christmas is just not realistic, it's always the same excuse. Warren wants to impose strict scrutiny again—it feels like crypto is always being targeted...

Approval before Christmas? LOL, the White House doesn’t even have a draft of the bill yet. This is going to drag on forever. Warren wants strict scrutiny, Warner can’t push it forward—this is the legendary “fighting yourself” style of legislation, haha. The bill’s implementation is nowhere in sight, but the bagholding for retail investors is effective in real time. Doesn’t seem like a worthwhile trade to me. All these moral clauses and quorum requirements—sharpening the axe doesn’t delay chopping wood, but nobody knows whose neck is on the line. White House: Let me think about it some more. Senators: No, let me revise it again. And we’re left in the group chat betting on when this will finally settle.
