Why Danielle Smith MOU with Mark Carney is a good deal, at least for the short term. (<5yrats)

Why?
- The biggest game in town is AI.
- Alberta's Independence is not guaranteed nor will it be immediate.
- Because of the emission cap, we couldn't attract investors to build AI datacenters here, powered by natural gas.
- This deal is terrible. It eliminate the emission cap, but at a high cost. (Carbon tax + carbon capture)...

But... Because the emission cap is gone, we can now build datacenters powered by natural gas now.... Instead of waiting years for independence or to nuclear. Which, by then, will be too late for us to join the game.

Ask yourself the following question:

Suppose Alberta will gain independence in 2030... Will we be in a better position with, or without 10GW of AI datacenters here?
