Don't remind me again today

Recently, it seems like not many people are discussing the Fusaka upgrade. Maybe everyone is busy watching the charts or dealing with other things. But to be honest, this upgrade is pretty critical, so let me break it down in plain language.

For Ethereum to stay competitive, the core issue is this: how can it attract more ecosystems, making it faster and cheaper to use? As the ecosystem grows, ETH naturally becomes more valuable. So this upgrade is all about "increasing speed + reducing costs + scaling up."

**First, about the launch of PeerDAS**
Rollups' data handling capacity is boosted 8x. What does that mean? L2s can now accommodate more users, and high-frequency on-chain applications like social and gaming can finally run smoothly. Projects like Base, Blast, and zkSync are the direct beneficiaries here.

**Next, the user experience**
The introduction of the R1 curve and pre-confirmation mechanism has significantly sped up confirmation times, greatly reducing the waiting time for interactions. Now, the experience is basically on par with Web2. The common complaints about Web3 being "slow, laggy, and expensive" have been addressed in a targeted way this time. With more data and higher transaction volume, ETH consumption will naturally increase as well.

**Finally, the gas limit adjustment**
It jumped from around 30 million straight to 60 million. What does this mean? The mainnet bandwidth has doubled, economic capacity has expanded significantly, and the amount of activity the network can support has grown exponentially.

BLAST-0.59%
ZK-0.37%

No matter how good it sounds, we’ll have to see the real results after it goes live. Don’t let it be just paper data again.

To be honest, this PeerDAS upgrade has been a bit overlooked, but the 8x data processing capability is still pretty impressive. Doubling the gas limit sounds good, but I wonder if we'll get burned again once it's actually implemented. Base and Blast are definitely going to take off directly this time, just depends if any killer apps can catch the wave. Catching up to Web2 in terms of user experience sounds a bit far-fetched, let's wait and see how it actually runs. Is the confirmation speed really faster? I watched for a while and still had to wait, maybe it's just my network. No matter how good the upgrade is, it still depends on whether real users are willing to use it, otherwise it's just self-congratulation. What I care more about is whether ETH consumption will really go up after this upgrade. More scaling and lower fees, I feel like I'm tired of hearing these terms. Can there really be long-term benefits? No matter how good it sounds, it's just preparation—the key is whether ecosystem applications can actually launch.

8x data processing capacity? Base and zkSync are going to skyrocket now. Finally, we don't have to wait forever anymore.
