Don't remind me again today

I've been in the space for 12 years, and for the first 9 years, I was basically just fumbling around. It wasn’t until I met an expert who gave me a few pointers that I suddenly had an epiphany—turns out, you need to have your own trading system.

Now, while I’m not super rich, at least I can make consistent profits and beat the market without any problem. Looking back, when I didn’t have a system, it was just gambling—it was inevitable to lose more than win.

But this system took me a full 6 years to refine.

Why did it take so long? Because a good trading system goes against human nature—you have to suppress greed and fear, strike when you should without hesitation, avoid making blind guesses based on feelings, and, most importantly, strictly follow the rules. The problem is, as an emotional person in an emotional market, doing all this is really hard.

What’s even harder is that you can’t just memorize a few theories; you have to go through countless real trades, trial and error, and reviews to really hone it. Even now, this system is only a little more mature than a semi-finished product and is still being adjusted. The market is always changing, and the system needs to evolve with it.

Today, let’s talk about two classics in reversal patterns: Three Pushes and Wedges.

These two patterns are actually quite common, but in real trading they often don’t play out in such a textbook way, so they’re easy to overlook. But that’s okay, as long as they roughly fit the characteristics of a wedge, we can...

It took 12 years of fumbling around to finally figure it out—how many losses does it take to truly understand? It took 6 years to refine a system; just hearing that, you know it’s not something you can quickly replicate. What you said about going against human nature is so true—most people fail because of greed. No matter how perfect a system is, it has to evolve with the market; rigid things are bound to fail sooner or later. Three pushes and wedges are indeed easy to overlook; you need real trading experience to truly understand how to use them.

12 years of fumbling around before having an epiphany—imagine how tough that must have been. 6 years spent refining a system. To put it plainly, it’s really just fighting your own greed and fear. A system that goes against human nature is the one that makes money—this statement hits home. Triple push and wedge patterns—the standard forms are the ideal, but in real trading, when does anything ever move perfectly? A system that can evolve is alive, not just a rigid set of trading rules. Sounds like consistent profits really do require time and experience to build up. That’s why most people lose money—without a system and just relying on gut feeling, it’s basically gambling. The key is whether you can still hold to discipline when emotions are exploding. It’s easy to say, but so hard to do.

9 years of messing around, that must have been really painful... But if you can figure things out later, there's still hope. 6 years spent refining a system, that's real skill—not like those people who claim stable profits after just a few months. The key is going against human nature, that's so true. Most people fail because of their emotions. By the way, do wedges and triple pushes often have fake breakouts? I think I've been fooled several times.

It took me 12 years to figure it out—just imagine how many times I got liquidated... But seriously, going against human nature is definitely the hardest part. Even now, I still often let my emotions lead me to make reckless trades.

It took me 9 years of fumbling around to finally figure things out—imagine how painful that is, bro. Spending 6 years refining a system sounds intense, but I really doubt how many people can actually stick with it. The most difficult things to persist in are those that go against human nature; to put it bluntly, it's a test of your mindset. No matter how good a system is, it's useless without discipline. That's the real truth, way more reliable than those signal callers.
