The crypto world has gone crazy again recently, with all sorts of rankings flying around. I took a look at the analyses from professional institutions and compiled a list of the 10 coins to follow in 2025, but to be honest - not all of them will be profitable.
First-tier echelon (stable but not necessarily explosive)
BTC and ETH will always be the foundation. BTC is now over 90K, and institutions are still bottom-fishing, predicting it will break through 100,000. After the upgrade to 2.0, ETH's performance has doubled, and the DeFi and NFT ecosystems continue to expand. These two are like Apple and Microsoft in the crypto world—there's no escaping them.
Dark Horse Track (With Stories, With Data)
Solana (SOL): Processing speed of 65,000 transactions per second, with transaction fees so low it's painful, DeFi projects are all flocking here. The technical difficulty is high, but the ecosystem's activity level is truly impressive.
Sui (SUI): Built by the former team of Meta using the Move language, it is a Layer 1 solution. Since the recent mainnet launch, its price performance has been strong, making it an important member of the Move ecosystem.
Polkadot (DOT): Dreaming of cross-chain solutions, the parachain architecture addresses fragmentation issues. The community governance is well managed, attracting a bunch of developers.
Payment + Ecological Category
XRP: Cross-border payment direction, collaborating with a bunch of financial institutions. However, this guy has recently been entangled in lawsuits, and the regulatory risks haven't fully materialized—there might be surprises once the case is resolved.
BNB: The token of Binance, which simply put is about sharing the exchange's profits. With ecological expansion and cross-chain activities, the application scenarios are continuously increasing.
Community-Driven (Bet on Popularity)
Dogecoin and Shiba Inu: Both of these rely on community and celebrity effects to survive. The volatility is frightening, but the underlying community has strong stickiness, and merchant acceptance is on the rise. SHIB is also working on ecosystem expansion and Layer 2 solutions, so it's not completely a pure meme coin anymore.
My View
The market is currently very polarized:
Mainstream coins (BTC/ETH/SOL): Long-term allocation, small drawdown
Niche Track (SUI/Polkadot): There is a technical story, but it needs to follow the ecological progress.
Meme coin: Strong short-term FOMO, but don't go all in.
XRP type: The policy risk is the greatest, and one must always pay attention to regulatory trends.
Final advice:
Core holdings are BTC and ETH
Try SOL and SUI, which have real demand, with a 20% position.
Don't touch those coins that have no application scenarios.
Regulatory trends to follow (especially XRP), a negative news can drop it by 30%.
To be honest, 2025 will be a year of differentiation. Coins with good technology and applications will gradually stand out, while purely speculative ones will eventually exit the market. Which direction do you see potential in?
