NFT from scratch: how to mint and sell without going crazy

Want to enter the world of NFTs but don't know where to start? People usually think it's complicated, but in reality, it's pretty easy. I'll break it down for you.

Where do I start?

There are three main decisions you need to make:

1. What do you want to NFT? Art, music, photos, videos, even tangible items like autographed celebrity photos. It can be JPG, PNG, MP4, whatever works. Creativity is the limit here.

2. On which blockchain?

• Ethereum: The most popular platform, but gas fees can be steep.
• Solana: Much cheaper (less than $0.01 per transaction) and fast
• BNB Chain: Also offers good advantages in terms of cost
• Flow: Good if you want to focus on sports collections

3. Which wallet to use? MetaMask is the most common and works on browser or mobile. There is also Trust Wallet and Ledger Nano if you want maximum security.

Which platform to choose?

OpenSea is practically the gold standard - it supports multiple blockchains and has a user-friendly interface. There are also Rarible, Binance NFT, and Airnfts if you want other options.

In practice: how to mint?

Using Rarible as an example:

1. Connect your wallet (click on “Connect wallet”)
2. Authorizes the platform to access your account
3. Click the “Create” button
4. Choose whether you want a copy or multiples
5. Upload the digital file
6. Define minimum price, royalties and properties (such as color, pixel size)
7. Add a cool name and description
8. Click “Create” and confirm the transaction in the wallet ( which will pay the gas fee )
9. Sign the sell order

Proto. Your NFT is minted. It will appear in Profile > My Items.

Want to mint on Binance? You need to be verified as a user and have at least 10 followers. The process is similar: go to Profile > Create NFT, fill in the details (name, description, network), select the collection or create a new one, set properties and click “Create”. The system performs an automatic check and if everything is fine, boom - your NFT is live.

Listing for sale

After your NFT is created, just click on “Sell” on the platform, choose the price, and you're done. You will need to sign transactions in your wallet.

Important tip: If Binance rejects your NFT 5 times in 24h (inappropriate content), you will be suspended from minting for 24h. It makes sense.
