Do you know that feeling when you sign a transaction and everything goes smoothly? Well, most likely, you just gave full access to your coins to some drainer.
What is going on:
Drainer is not phishing with a request for a seed phrase. No. It is a smart contract that disguises itself as a legitimate action. You see the button “Approve” or “Sign for verification” — seemingly just a regular thing. But behind this could be hidden:
Unlimited approval (give me full access to your coins)
Hidden transfer of NFT or crypto
Fake NFT creation that will deplete your balance
And here's the trouble — you can't cancel this later. No way.
How not to lose everything:
Do not sign what you do not understand — even if everything looks fine.
Check the source — the site should be in the project's whitepaper/Twitter/Discord, not from a random link.
Always check before signing — before signing, make sure that you are really sending/exchanging, and not giving full access.
Revoke.cash — revoke old approvals if you ever gave them somewhere.
Wallet Guard or other browser extensions will help
Separate wallets — farming wallet separately, main wallet separately
Your signature is literally the key to the safe. Don't give it to the first person you meet.
