I decided to take a look at which currencies are the coolest right now. Here's what I found for September 2025.
Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD) 🇰🇼
1 KWD ≈ 3.26 USD
Kuwaiti dinar on top. Oil is pumping. Politics are stable. Here is the result.
Bahraini Dinar (BHD) 🇧🇭
1 BHD ≈ 2.65 USD
The Bahraini dinar is pegged to the dollar. The economy is diverse. It is strong.
Omani Rial (OMR) 🇴🇲
1 OMR ≈ 2.60 USD
The Omani rial is right in the top three. It seems that the fixed exchange rate to the dollar helps a lot here.
Jordanian Dinar (JOD) 🇯🇴
1 JOD ≈ 1.41 USD
The Jordanians are doing well. They don't rely heavily on oil, and the dinar is strong. An interesting case.
British Pound Sterling (GBP) 🇬🇧
1 GBP ≈ 1.27 USD
The good old pound. Reserve currency. It holds.
Cayman Dollar (KYD) 🇰🇾
1 KYD ≈ 1.20 USD
Offshore. Money. Island. That's the whole secret.
Euro (EUR) 🇪🇺
1 EUR ≈ 1.09 USD
The Euro is the second most traded currency. Not too bad for a relatively young currency.
Swiss Franc (CHF) 🇨🇭
1 CHF ≈ 1.11 USD
The franc has grown. $1.11. Swiss stability does not let down, as always.
American Dollar (USD) 🇺🇸
1 USD = 1 USD
Dollar. It is equal to itself. Where would the global trades be without it — a staggering 88% of transactions!
Canadian Dollar (CAD) 🇨🇦
1 CAD ≈ 0.75 USD
Canadians are closing the top ten. The nature is rich, and so is the currency.
💡 It's funny that a little one like Kuwait holds the most expensive currency in the world. Since 2025, no one can knock them off the pedestal. Power!
🌍 Actually, an expensive currency doesn't mean that everything is cheap for locals in the country. But yes, usually it's a sign that the economy is reliable. Not always, but often.
