Telegram and Web3: When it's time to move on

Telegram has become something like a home for all these Web3 and crypto fans 🚀. Sometimes you just want to take and delete your account. Completely.

Cryptocurrencies soared in 2025. The messenger attracts crowds. Not just normal people, by the way. There are plenty of scammers. They pop up like mushrooms after rain. They offer investments. “Guaranteed” signals 🔥. Ha!

Before deletion – think

Know this:

There is no turning back. Everything will disappear. Your messages? Will remain with others. The same number? There will be a new account. Sometimes you can't register again right away. Days of waiting.

Deleting Telegram

On the phone:

Settings. Privacy and security. There is “Delete account automatically”. Click “If I do not log in”. Then just “Delete account now”. Phone number for confirmation 📱.

In the browser:

Official deletion page. Phone number, code. “Delete My Account”. Done.

Self-removal due to inactivity 🕒

It can be set up. Telegram will delete itself if you are not there:

• 1 month
• 3 months
• Half a year
• A whole year

It is configured there, in safety.

Data sad? Saving 💾

It seems that this is only on Windows:

1. Telegram Desktop – download
2. Settings → Advanced → Export
3. Choose what to save

Where to go instead of Telegram?

In 2025, there is a choice:

Signal – for paranoids 🔒 WhatsApp – for regular conversations Viber – calls are good, groups too

Why are crypto people here?

Telegram seems to be convenient. Bots for crypto assets. Trader communities. Miners hang out.

By the end of 2025, scams will be off the charts. Phishing is everywhere 🛑. Not particularly pleasant.

Remember: deleted means everything. Forever. Export what is important. Be ready to lose access to everything 🌕.
