On April 26, according to Coindesk, the Swiss National Bank refused to hold Bitcoin reserves, citing concerns over the liquidity and fluctuation of the crypto assets market. Swiss Central Bank President Martin Schlegel ( stated at the central bank conference on Friday: “For crypto assets, market liquidity may sometimes appear decent, but it is naturally questioned during times of crisis. Crypto assets are also known for their high fluctuation, which poses a risk to long-term value preservation. In short, it can be said that crypto assets currently cannot meet the high demands of our monetary reserves.”
