BlockBeats message, April 8, according to CCTV News reports, the Iranian Supreme National Security Council issued a statement in the early hours of the 8th local time, saying that, upon the recommendation of the Supreme Leader and with approval from the Supreme National Security Council, it has accepted Pakistan’s proposed ceasefire.

The statement said that Iran has achieved almost all of its targets in this war, and that the enemy “has suffered a historic and total defeat.” Iran will “continue the struggle until the great achievements it has made are consolidated, and until a new security and political landscape is established in the region,” and it has decided to hold negotiations in Islamabad to determine the details, “consolidating the outcomes of victory through political talks within at most 15 days.”

The statement also said that Iran rejected all plans proposed by the other side and developed a ten-point plan, which would be submitted through Pakistan to the U.S. side. The plan emphasized the following basic points:

Coordinate with Iran’s armed forces to control passage through the Strait of Hormuz; end the war against all members of the “Resistance Axis” and put an end to the aggression of the Israeli regime; withdraw all U.S. combat forces from all bases and deployment points in the region; establish a security transit protocol in the Strait of Hormuz to ensure Iran has the dominant position; fully compensate Iran for its losses based on the assessment results; lift all primary and secondary sanctions and sanctions-related resolutions of the Security Council; release all Iranian assets and properties frozen overseas; and finally, all of these matters should be approved in binding Security Council resolutions.
