Iran warns the United States could become embroiled in a long-term attrition war, claiming to have developed a plan to sink U.S. aircraft carriers

Gate News Report, March 11 — According to CCTV International News, today local time, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Deputy Commander Fadavi stated that there are currently no American ships within 700 kilometers of Iran’s coast. He claimed that the U.S. Navy has “fled” the area because they are well aware that Iran has developed a special operational plan specifically aimed at sinking their aircraft carriers. Fadavi warned that the United States must consider the possibility of becoming embroiled in a prolonged war of attrition, which could lead to a total collapse of the U.S. and global economies. Additionally, Fadavi stated that Iranian armed forces shot down an American F-15 fighter jet south of Tehran.
