On March 11, U.S. digital asset management firm Strategy accelerated its daily Bitcoin purchases, with its issued STRC preferred shares reaching a new single-day trading volume of nearly $300 million. The trading activity supported the purchase of approximately 14,200 Bitcoins, highlighting institutional confidence in continued Bitcoin accumulation.
Since its launch in July 2025, STRC (Stretch) has been a key tool for Strategy to raise funds. Recent data shows that Monday’s trading volume far exceeded the 30-day average of $124 million and set a new single-day issuance record since STRC’s listing. Strategy recently revised its sales agreement to allow multiple agents to sell similar securities during pre-market or after-hours trading, providing greater flexibility to support Bitcoin purchase plans.
According to company disclosures, from March 2 to 8, Strategy purchased a total of 17,994 Bitcoins, increasing its total holdings to 738,731 Bitcoins with an investment of about $1.28 billion. The company stated that even if Bitcoin’s market price falls below its average cost of $75,862 per Bitcoin, it will continue to increase holdings to support the treasury model. As short-term, high-yield preferred stock, STRC pays monthly cash dividends, with this month’s dividend rate set at 11.5%, maintaining investor appeal.
The latest issuance and sales rule updates show that STRC’s position within Strategy’s financing portfolio has further strengthened. Pre-market trading news boosted the stock price by about 3%, approaching $143. Analysts note that as Strategy improves the efficiency of raising funds through STRC, institutional Bitcoin purchases may continue to grow, providing new support for market liquidity and prices.
This record-breaking trading not only reflects Strategy’s ongoing accumulation strategy but also indicates a trend among institutional investors seeking long-term digital asset positions amid market volatility. The high trading volume and flexible issuance mechanism of STRC may become a core tool for future institutional Bitcoin purchases.
