Gate is introducing a brand-new points system to thank users for their long-term support and engagement within the Gate ecosystem. By making eligible purchases with your Gate Card, you can earn points, which can be redeemed for a variety of digital assets, including BTC, ETH, USDT, and GT.
Additionally, points can be exchanged for more benefits and services, including but not limited to rewards, trading fee discounts, and other perks within the Gate ecosystem, bringing even greater value to your experience.
How to Earn Reward Points?
At Gate, every payment you make creates value for you. When you use your Gate Card for purchases worldwide, you’ll earn points. The higher your VIP level or monthly trading volume, the faster you accumulate points.
Your points earning multiplier and monthly cap are dynamically increased based on your VIP level and monthly trading volume. Points are settled and verified after the transaction is completed (usually within 2-3 days), after which they become available for use. You can then flexibly redeem a variety of rewards in the Rewards Center or enable the auto-cashback feature for instant returns.

- The initial card tier is determined by your VIP level at the time of application.
- VIP 5 and above users enjoy points multipliers and cashback benefits corresponding to their VIP level directly, without needing to meet the minimum monthly spend requirement.
- The points multiplier determines how many points you earn per $1 spent. For example, a 1x multiplier means you earn 1 point for every $1 spent.
- There is a monthly cap for points redemption, but this does not limit the total points you can actually earn. You can continue accumulating points, but you can only redeem cashback up to the specified cap each month.
How to Upgrade?
All users are assigned a default card tier based on their VIP level at the time the card is issued. Please refer to the table and examples below:

If your spending drops below the threshold later, your tier will only revert to your VIP-guaranteed level, not reset to zero. • If your Gate VIP status changes, your points tier will be updated accordingly, ensuring your benefits always match your current status. |
• All users below VIP 5 are automatically assigned T0 tier initially. When you reach the required monthly spend, you unlock a higher tier and enjoy increased cashback rates through the end of the next calendar month. • If you don’t meet the monthly spend threshold, your tier will be adjusted down accordingly. Examples
Scenario A
On March 20, a VIP 3 user activates their card for the first time, starting at T0 tier.
On March 25, they make a pending transaction of $1,000.
On March 28, the transaction is confirmed.
On April 1, the user’s card tier is upgraded to T1, valid from April 1 to April 30.
Scenario B
On March 25, a VIP 8 user starts at T2 tier with a 2% cashback rate.
On March 28, their VIP level is upgraded to VIP 9.
On April 1, the user’s card tier is upgraded to T3, enjoying a 3% cashback rate and a higher cashback cap. The user continues to enjoy these benefits until their VIP level changes again or they reach a higher spend, with new benefits taking effect the following month.
Special case: If a VIP 9 user spends $15,000 on April 25, they unlock T4 tier for the next month. If they lose their VIP status on the same day, they can still enjoy T4 benefits the next month, valid until May 31, since the tier was unlocked by spending.
Scenario C
On August 15, both a VIP 4 user and a VIP 5 user each spend $15,000, unlocking T4 tier and 5% cashback for the following month.
From September 1 to September 30, they both enjoy 5% cashback.
On October 1, if either user’s spending in the previous month was less than 500 U:
- The VIP 4 user will be downgraded to T0.
- The VIP 5 user will be downgraded to T1, corresponding to their VIP level.
