Eclipse is the first Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) Layer 2 solution on Ethereum, combining Solana’s high-speed parallel transaction processing capabilities with the security and ecological liquidity of Ethereum. This architecture is designed to address the scalability issues of decentralized applications, aiming to provide a fast, low-cost, and secure user experience.
Eclipse adopts a highly modular design, with the settlement layer relying on Ethereum to ensure the trustworthiness of transaction order and execution; the execution layer enhances transaction throughput through the Solana virtual machine. Data availability is achieved through Celestia and combined with RISC Zero technology for zero-knowledge fraud proofs, ensuring the accuracy and security of on-chain data.
Using Solana’s parallel processing and Sealevel horizontal scaling engine, Eclipse significantly improves processing efficiency. Compared to the traditional single-threaded EVM, it achieves higher transaction speeds and multi-task parallelism. Its collaboration with Neon EVM supports Ethereum virtual machine tools, making it easier for developers to build cross-chain applications.
Eclipse will launch its public mainnet in November 2024, rapidly growing with a complete dApp ecosystem and partner support. Future plans include continued optimization of virtual machine performance and deepening the joint ecosystem between Ethereum and Solana, becoming the core infrastructure for large-scale on-chain applications.
