U.S. CFTC Chair: Court ruling today confirms CFTC's exclusive regulatory authority over designated contract market trading

Golden Finance reports that Mike Selig, the chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), posted on the X platform saying that today the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit ruled to reaffirm Congress’s legislative intent, confirming that the CFTC has exclusive regulatory authority over trading on Designated Contract Markets (DCMs), and rejecting efforts by New Jersey’s gaming regulators to challenge that authority.
