MANTRA will initiate the OM token migration, and users need to complete the transfer before upgrading to receive a 4:1 split reward
MANTRA has officially launched the OM token migration process in preparation for the upcoming network upgrade in mid-January. According to the project’s latest announcement, OM holders need to migrate their tokens from the Osmosis network to the MANTRA mainnet to receive the full 4:1 token split rewards after the upgrade. This migration is regarded as a key step in MANTRA’s network expansion and performance upgrade, and it is also an important link in the ecosystem to move towards a new stage.
To facilitate the migration, MANTRA has suspended the trading and circulation of OM on Osmosis to ensure smooth subsequent mapping, settlement, and splitting processes. Users need to transfer their tokens to the mainnet address by themselves, and holders who fail to complete the migration before the upgrade may not receive the full allocation. This means that active migration becomes necessary for all OM holders to protect their rights.
The project team stated that this token migration is not only to implement a 4:1 split, but also to fully connect OM to the functions of the MANTRA mainnet, including future governance mechanisms, staking yields, cross-chain expansion, and performance optimization. After the migration is completed, the mainnet OM will replace the old Osmosis-based token and become the only official token for the entire ecosystem.
From the perspective of ecological positioning, MANTRA has continued to promote the development of compliance chains, decentralized financial infrastructure, and asset tokenization (RWA) in recent years. This migration and split complements the tokenomics model and lays the foundation for improved performance and token liquidity for larger-scale applications.
At present, the official migration tutorial and precautions have been released to remind users to complete the operation as soon as possible. With further advancements in on-chain asset mapping, transaction pauses, and token split mechanisms, MANTRA’s network upgrade is expected to enter a critical phase in the coming weeks.
For OM holders, the most important task is to successfully migrate their tokens to the mainnet before the upgrade to ensure full split rewards and continued participation in the next phase of MANTRA’s ecological growth.
