Virtuals has launched the Unicorn Launch mode, which will gradually replace the Genesis points system.

On October 7th, according to official news, Virtuals officially launched Unicorn as its new generation Launch model, aiming to allow community members to truly co-own future AI agents while attracting high-quality founding teams for long-term ecosystem building. Compared to the previous Genesis model, Unicorn no longer only pursues fairness but emphasizes early belief and long-term value. Each Unicorn project starts from a low valuation, and early participants can gain asymmetrical returns; the founding team only receives funding when the project's actual growth occurs, ensuring responsibility and long-term construction. The Launch process includes the creation phase, early trading phase, and a transparent team allocation mechanism, with anti-cheating mechanisms and ecological Airdrop rewards for VIRTUAL holders and active community members. The Unicorn model will gradually replace the points system of Genesis, with the reward mechanism migrating from points to VIRTUAL staking and ecological activities. Each Unicorn Launch will allocate 5% of the total supply to true community members: 2% to VIRTUAL stakers; 3% to active Virtuals ecosystem participants. Airdrops will be distributed weekly, and Snapshots will be recorded based on VIRTUAL staking conditions and Virtuals ecosystem activities.
