Bitget Partners with UNICEF to Launch Global Game Jam for Youth

Bitget, the world’s leading Universal Exchange (UEX), has officially announced its support for the first-ever global UNICEF Game Jam. This 40-day virtual hackathon will bring together young people from eight countries to design and build original video games. The initiative forms part of Bitget’s collaboration with UNICEF’s Game Changers Coalition and underscores CEO Gracy Chen’s vision of blockchain as a driver of education, empowerment, and opportunity.

Gracy Chen’s Commitment to Inclusion

Recently named among the Top 50 Women in Web3 & AI, Gracy Chen continues to stand out as one of the most influential female leaders in the crypto industry. For her, the hackathon represents more than just creativity—it is a powerful entry point for young people, particularly girls in emerging economies, to access Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) skills. She believes blockchain and Web3 can break cycles of poverty by opening new pathways to entrepreneurship, innovation, and financial independence.

Driving Digital Skills Development

Speaking on the initiative, Chen emphasized the urgency of introducing children to digital skills early, noting that access to tech education often arrives too late and excludes many with untapped potential. She sees emerging technologies such as blockchain as critical for equipping youth worldwide to become entrepreneurs, builders, and innovators.

Expanding Education Through Bitget Academy

As a strategic partner of UNICEF’s Game Changers Coalition, Bitget Academy will play a central role in developing UNICEF’s first blockchain training module. This program will combine online and in-person learning, centered on video game creation, and aims to reach 300,000 people—including adolescent girls, parents, mentors, and teachers—across eight countries.

Beyond Education: The Lady Forward Campaign

Bitget’s commitment to empowerment extends further through its Lady Forward campaign. This initiative includes university partnerships, new internship programs, and the Female Leaders Program, designed to connect women across the blockchain sector—from developers and investors to entrepreneurs and policymakers.

Academic Leadership and Real-World Impact

Gracy Chen’s advocacy also extends into academia. As a guest professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), she teaches a blockchain course for finance and mathematics students. Her approach blends Harvard Business School-style case studies with real-world applications and insights from top industry leaders, creating a platform to prepare students for leadership roles in a digital-first economy.

Shaping a More Inclusive Digital Future

With the launch of Blockchain4Her’s “Lady Forward” era, Bitget is turning inclusion into action. Its partnership with UNICEF reflects a broader mission to align blockchain and Web3 technologies with initiatives that expand digital access, foster creative learning, and provide young people in developing regions with the tools they need to thrive in the global economy.
