The development team of Wallet of Satoshi announced that the wallet, focused on payments through Bitcoin's Lightning network, will no longer be available in the United States. They themselves made the decision to remove it from the Apple and Google app stores.

Wallet of Satoshi's statement said the decision was "not taken lightly." "Our commitment to providing a secure, easy-to-use, and globally compliant platform is unwavering," they say.

"We understand that this news may be disappointing and we share your frustration. We hope that future developments will allow us to reconsider and possibly resume our operations in the United States," adds the letter published on the social network X.

At the same time, it is reported that existing users of Wallet of Satoshi in the United States have full access to their bitcoins (BTC) and can withdraw and transfer them seamlessly to another wallet. It is not clear, however, how long they will be in charge of the maintenance of this wallet, beyond the fact that there will be no new updates available in the North American country.
