Ordos Region Thermal Coal Market Remains Weak and Stable

On March 6, in the Ordos region, the thermal coal market operated weakly but steadily; most coal mines maintained stable production, and market supply gradually recovered to normal levels. At present, terminal users’ purchasing demand has not been released well; traders and surrounding coal plants have relatively low enthusiasm for hauling, and the market is mainly cautious and watchful, with bearish sentiment prevailing. Overall, coal mines’ sales performance was just average, and coal prices adjusted slightly downward. The current ex-pit, tax-included prices are: Q5500 reported at 510-550 yuan/ton, Q5000 at 420-480 yuan/ton, and Q4500 at 350-390 yuan/ton. (My Steel Network)
