I just saw that Jack Altman joined Benchmark as a general partner, one of the most prominent venture capital firms. The interesting part is that two years ago, he decided to fully commit to investing and founded his own firm, Alt Capital. Now he's making this move and joining Benchmark, which seems to be a very strategic move to enhance his investment capabilities.
I don't know if it's because he saw bigger opportunities at Benchmark or if he wanted to expand his network, but honestly, Jack Altman moving in this way catches attention. Two years running his own operation and now he's joining an established firm. Do you think it was the right decision, or would you prefer to see someone like him building from scratch?
