Recently, Haohai Biological Sciences issued an announcement. Its wholly owned subsidiary, Henan Yuzhou Artificial Lens Research and Development Co., Ltd., has recently received the “Medical Device Registration Certificate of the People’s Republic of China” for its multifocal aspheric intraocular lens products.

The product is intended for vision correction in adult cataract patients with aphakic eyes, with the expectation of improving near, intermediate, and distance vision and reducing dependence on eyeglasses. This intraocular lens is used for implantation into the capsular bag.

The announcement states that this product is a multifocal intraocular lens based on the patented technology of Fourier harmonic five-focus diffractive intraocular lenses. It has a higher optical energy distribution capability, which helps improve the intermediate vision of traditional trifocal intraocular lenses and enhances the company’s competitiveness in the high-end refractive cataract field.
