On April 8, U.S. President Trump stated that after the two-week ceasefire agreement between the U.S. and Iran, both sides are expected to hold face-to-face talks "soon" in Islamabad, Pakistan, to push for a long-term agreement. Trump said the talks could take place as early as this week, and the U.S. delegation may include Middle East envoy Witkov and his son-in-law Kushner. He also mentioned that Vice President Pence "may not attend," mainly due to security concerns. (CCTV News)
