Intel will repurchase a 49% stake in the Ireland wafer fab joint venture
On April 1, Intel Corporation and Apollo Global Management announced that they have reached a definitive agreement. Intel will repurchase the 49% equity interest it does not already hold in the joint venture related to its Fab 34 wafer fab in Ireland for $14.2 billion.
In 2024, a total investment of $11.2 billion led by funds managed by Apollo and its affiliated entities acquired a 49% equity interest in a joint venture entity related to the Fab 34 wafer fab.
