[Iran Crisis] Le Parisien: Goldman Sachs Paris headquarters reportedly threatened with a bomb by Iranian groups

According to Bloomberg, citing Le Parisien, Goldman Sachs’ Paris headquarters were placed under police surveillance on Wednesday evening, after what was believed to be a bomb threat from an Iranian group.

The report quoted a Goldman spokesperson as declining to comment. Paris police headquarters officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Citing the French daily, the report said that U.S. authorities had contacted the firm and advised it to stay vigilant. A source familiar with the matter told Le Parisien that an Iranian group threatened to carry out an attack on the building using an explosive device.

The report said that prosecutors in Paris stated that no suspicious items were found at the scene on Thursday morning.

Just a few days earlier, French authorities foiled an attempted bomb attack targeting the area near Bank of America’s Paris office locations. French authorities have charged the incident and detained one adult and three minors aged 16 to 17.
