Pakistan says it refuses to negotiate with Afghanistan

On the 28th local time, Pakistan said it would refuse to hold negotiations with Afghanistan. From late on the 26th to the early hours of the 27th, fighting broke out between Afghanistan and Pakistan in areas along their border regions. Pakistani airstrikes hit Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, as well as multiple locations in the southern Kandahar Province and the eastern Paktika Province, and tensions between the two countries escalated rapidly.
