(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL (Pajhwok): One person was killed and another injured after a poultry farm collapsed due to heavy rainfall in the Haska Mena district of eastern Nangarhar on Friday.

A doctor, Zarghoon Shinwari, at the Haska Mena district clinic told Pajhwok that the incident occurred at around 6:00 a.m. in the Sra Kala area.

He said the farm collapsed as a result of recent heavy rains, leaving one person dead, another injured, and causing the loss of a large number of chickens.

The incident comes amid ongoing heavy rainfall across several provinces over the past week, which has so far claimed more than 50 lives and left over 100 people injured.
