Non-USD stablecoins had already risen to $1.1 billion by February, and the on-chain transfer volume has also grown rapidly. It’s more like a setup for cross-border payments, remittances, and corporate settlements—rather than the kind of thing you’d use to pile up DeFi yields. If this direction keeps expanding, channels for local currencies beyond USD stablecoins will become more and more like a proper business.
