ME News message, April 4 (UTC+8), DeFi lending protocol HypurrFi issued a security warning, saying that its website domain has been compromised and that it is investigating a potential domain hijacking incident. The project team explicitly stated: “Do not use the hypurr.fi domain,” and reminded users to avoid interacting with the platform until further notice. The team also stressed that, at present, users’ funds are not at risk, and the official social media accounts are still under control. HypurrFi runs on HyperEVM, with a total value locked of about $30 million. Analysts noted that domain hijacking is one of the common attack methods in the crypto industry. Attackers typically inject malicious code through control of the front-end pages or wallet-drain programs. Even if the underlying smart contracts themselves are secure, users may still face asset risk. (Source: ChainCatcher)
