CoinWorld News on April 4: A reporter from China Central Television (CCTV) learned on April 3 local time that U.S. officials said that an Iranian drone attack in March on the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia caused more damage than previously disclosed. This indicates that Iran has the capability to strike U.S. assets in Saudi Arabia. It is understood that the attack took place on March 3, when an Iranian drone evaded the air defense system around Riyadh, the Saudi capital, and crashed into the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia. One minute later, a second drone flew into the gap created by the first drone’s crash and exploded. U.S. officials said the attack hit a security area of the embassy and caused severe damage to multiple floors of the embassy building. The CIA’s local operating station was also in the area that was targeted. On March 3, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense said that, according to an initial assessment, the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia was attacked by two drones that day, which triggered a localized fire and caused minor damage to the embassy building.
