Recently, I came across discussions about Elon Musk’s home. It’s a self-sufficient housing project put forward by Tesla, and the content is quite interesting.
Basically, there are multiple sizes available, ranging from 26 square meters to 76 square meters, and the basic model is reportedly priced at around $7,999. Just hearing that makes it seem incredibly compact and affordable.
The biggest feature of Elon Musk’s home is that it operates with fully self-sufficient energy. It’s equipped with Tesla’s solar panels and a Powerwall energy storage system, and it’s designed to function using only renewable energy. It also includes a rainwater collection feature, so there’s a setup that means no water utility costs.
It’s built to withstand harsh weather conditions, so it’s also said to be usable in any environment. In other words, Elon Musk’s home is an ambitious project aimed at creating a fully independent living space that doesn’t rely on public utilities.
This approach also seems to set a goal of providing housing that more people can access. If low-cost residences that can support themselves become widespread, I definitely think the social impact would be significant. Seeing Tesla moving in this direction really makes me feel like they’re not just an automobile manufacturer, but also operating as an energy and housing solutions company.
