Wu learned that Boris Cherny, head of Claude Code under Anthropic, stated that starting from 12:00 PM Pacific Time on April 4, Claude subscription services will no longer include the use of third-party tools such as OpenClaw. Users can still purchase additional usage packages (currently discounted) through their Claude accounts or continue to access related tools using the Claude API Key. Boris mentioned that because the usage patterns of third-party tools exceed the original scope of the subscription design, the company will prioritize capacity allocation for official products and API users.
