The journey of home-school-community co-education begins again: Jinan High-tech Zone's 2026 Campus Open Month kicks off

On the afternoon of April 1, 2026 “Campus Open Month” launch ceremony for Jinan High-tech Zone was held at Kehang Road School in Jinan High-tech Zone, marking the official start of a month-long journey of collaborative education involving families, schools, and society.

This year’s event will run until April 30. It adopts a “registration-based” approach. Parents can enter the campus by booking with the class teachers; the community and partner organizations can also work with the school to carry out diverse interactive activities such as science popularization lectures, career experiences, and community services.

As a branded event that has been carried out for six consecutive years, “Campus Open Month” has moved from one-way presentations to two-way interactions. Each year, tens of thousands of parents visit the campus, becoming an important vehicle for deepening coordinated education across families, schools, and society.

Based on summaries of past experience, this year’s event has introduced three major innovation highlights:

A standardized implementation model of “1+6N.” Around one theme, it breaks down into six stages and carries out N activities. Core projects are implemented in a standardized manner across the whole zone; developed projects encourage school-specific characteristic innovation to build “one school, one特色.”

Parent-child interaction gets an upgrade. Building on the open classes, it adds parent-child interaction activities, so that parents can not only “see” their children’s learning but also “accompany” them in their growth—making the companionship more “warm” and meaningful.

Problem collection and remediation create a tighter closed loop. It establishes an “collect immediately, handle immediately” mechanism and sets up channels such as the “principal face-to-face” symposiums to ensure that parents’ suggestions are “listened to, responded to, and implemented,” making communication more “effective.”

In recent years, education in Jinan High-tech Zone has continued to deepen coordinated education involving families, schools, and society. The “Partner+” student growth community was selected as a typical case and an innovative practice case in Shandong Province’s basic education field for comprehensive reform; the “Three Guidance” Action was awarded the National Regional Education Innovation Case and was promoted at the national on-site promotion meeting for the “education consortium” (“教联体”) construction.

This year, Jinan High-tech Zone launched an anti-frustration resilience education activity, placing students’ physical and mental health first and focusing on cultivating children’s resilient character and sustainable development capabilities. “Campus Open Month” not only opens the school gate, but also opens the heart—gathering the combined strength of families, schools, and society, and jointly providing protection for children’s growth.

After the launch ceremony, the first parent-themed lesson, “Cultivating Teenagers’ Anti-Frustration Resilience,” goes live at the same time, kicking off a精彩序幕.

Representatives responsible for the education, culture, and sports division of the Jinan High-tech Zone Management Committee and business leaders, public security, fire protection, traffic police, representatives from colleges and universities stationed in the zone, and community representatives, as well as the deputy principals for moral education of each school, teachers and students, and parents’ representatives participated in the event.
