On March 16, 2026, China State Construction held the awarding ceremony for the second batch of “Good Homes” nurturing system implementation projects in Beijing. The Hefei Zhonghai Yuefu project was successfully selected and received the award, becoming the first residential project in Hefei to achieve this honor.

In Hefei residents’ eyes, what kind of “good home” is the standard? The answer is not on the drawings—it lies in everyday life for ordinary people.

In Hefei, the Zhonghai team conducted in-depth visits to more than 300 households, recording each residents’ living concerns, sorting them out, and responding to them one by one. “Only by thinking one step further than the customer can these problems be solved at the source.” This is the philosophy the project has always upheld. Seemingly trivial pain points are precisely the starting point for the design.

Based on the demand of the “6633” good home standards, the Zhonghai Yuefu project translates from a single blueprint to living needs spanning decades into the future—ensuring full-cycle responsiveness, standards, and responsible management. It has implemented 101 basic requirements and 45 all-dimensional requirements, and added 23 local特色 requirements for people in Hefei—signal coverage everywhere, dehumidification in the basement, no getting drenched when coming home……These are exactly the things residents genuinely want.

To address the “disconnection anxiety” commonly seen in modern residential life, the Yuefu project achieves full signal coverage across the entire community. Communication in areas with weaker signals—such as the basement and elevators—is uninterrupted. The community entrances are equipped with a seamless access system. Owners can enter and exit without swiping cards and without waiting, freeing up their hands and making daily life more convenient.

The project also sets up an approximately 52-meter wind-and-rain covered corridor, connecting the community entrance to the basement elevator lobby. Even on rainy and cloudy days, owners can return home dry and at ease, completely saying goodbye to the embarrassment of rushing in the rain. Considering commuting needs by subway, the project specially opens an entrance and exit on the side near the subway station, shortening the distance to entering the platform to 60 meters, greatly improving daily commuting efficiency.

Taking into account the dampness during Hefei’s plum-rain season, the project raises the entire community basement by 2 meters to fundamentally prevent rainwater backflow. Dehumidifiers are installed in the basement, drainage channels are set up, and the drive lanes use terrazzo stone material to achieve dryness and slip resistance, so owners can feel more secure when traveling. The basement functions are further extended: an “Aicar Workshop” is established to meet daily needs such as car washing and simple repairs. It is also equipped with a “Hainacang” storage space with flexible capacity ranging from 260 to 550 liters, allowing owners to store camping gear, children’s toys, and other items—effectively adding practical storage space to every household.

In terms of floor plan design, the project offers customized move-in delivery options for three-bedroom/four-bedroom layouts. When purchasing a home, owners can choose their space configuration independently without any need for later renovation, achieving a one-step-ready result. To address residents’ storage pain points, the project builds a systematic growth storage solution. Taking a 130-square-meter unit as an example, the storage volume increases to more than 30k liters—an increase of 50% compared with a traditional layout. The kitchen can accommodate 10 more small appliances; the wardrobe can hang 8 more coats; the bathroom mirror cabinet can hold 12 more skincare bottles. With the same area, residents gain more usable space.

The Yuefu project district supports the construction of a 2,000-square-meter sports center, equipped with facilities such as a basketball court, badminton court, table tennis hall, gym, and yoga studio. It provides owners with leisure and exercise spaces while also building a platform for neighborly exchanges, helping residents build relationships through movement and creating a harmonious and warm community atmosphere.

At the same time, the project extends care to front-line workers in the city. In a corner of the community, it sets up a service center for newly employed groups, providing free hot water, meal warming, emergency medicine boxes, wireless internet, and other services for delivery riders and couriers, etc. This warmth crosses the community walls and reaches every corner of the city, ensuring that a good home not only serves its owners but also warms the entire city.

Due to Zhonghai Yuefu’s good home reputation and its hot sales, the project achieves deep cultivation and development within the district. It not only refreshes the city’s appearance, but also makes China Construction’s “good homes” the firm choice of Hefei residents.

Since its first opening on September 28, 2024, Zhonghai Yuefu has earned high recognition from the Hefei market and homebuyers thanks to its strong product quality, design aligned with local needs, and excellent living experience. The first opening saw 1,000 people competing in lotteries; within 20 days it sold out for RMB 1.5 billion, concluding sales. It also completed delivery approximately 180 days early, fulfilling its commitment to quality living through real actions.

“The basement isn’t damp anymore. The kids can play running around, and I don’t have to keep watching all the time.” “There’s a place to hang cured meat, and the taste of the New Year is back.” “After living here for so long, there’s nothing that really bothers me.” Every affirmation is the best response to “think one step further.”

As an important practice benchmark for China State Construction’s “Good Homes” nurturing system in Hefei, Zhonghai Yuefu stays centered on owners’ needs throughout—from site selection by location, to product development, and to detail design; from community building to city-wide care.
