Our country’s largest standalone coal subsidence area photovoltaic base—China Energy Ningxia Lingwu 4 million kW PV power plant—will be handed over for operation today. This photovoltaic base has installed more than 120k solar panels, covers about 120k mu, and fully makes use of local land resources such as coal reserve mining areas, goaf areas, and subsidence areas to build the solar project, achieving coordinated development of energy development and ecological protection. After coming into operation, it can provide 6.8 billion kWh of green electricity every year, enough to meet the annual electricity needs of 4.5 million households. (CCTV News)
