North Charleston gets 900 feet of new water main in $420K upgrade

West Virginia American Water has begun a $420,000 infrastructure upgrade in North Charleston, replacing 900 feet of old pipe with a new 6-inch PVC main. The project is expected to finish by the end of April, with final street restoration in spring 2026, and is part of a larger $129 million statewide investment plan for 2026. This upgrade aims to improve water service reliability for the community.
