People’s Finance News April 2—On April 2, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning presided over a regular press conference. A reporter asked: “Trump said that the United States will continue to launch a fierce barrage of strikes against Iran for 2 to 3 weeks, and again threatened that if Iran does not reach a negotiated solution with him, it will strike Iran’s energy infrastructure. What comments does China have on this?” Mao Ning said that military means cannot fundamentally solve the problem, and that an escalation of the conflict is not in the interests of any party. “We once again urge the parties concerned to immediately stop military action, start negotiations as soon as possible, and resolve the issue through dialogue and negotiations, to avoid more severe shocks to the world economy and global energy security.” (CCTV News)
