[Caixin] In 2025, GAC Group (601238.SH/02238.HK) reported a year-on-year revenue decrease of 10.43%, dropping to 95.662 billion yuan, with its operating situation shifting from profit to loss, recording a net loss attributable to shareholders of 8.784 billion yuan. This marks the first annual loss for GAC Group since its listing. In 2024, the company achieved a net profit attributable to shareholders of 824 million yuan.

On the evening of March 27, 2026, GAC Group released its 2025 annual report, disclosing the above data. Quarter by quarter, GAC Group recorded a net loss attributable to shareholders of 4.472 billion yuan in the fourth quarter, with the loss scale exceeding the total of the first three quarters.

In its annual report, GAC Group explained that starting from the second quarter, its own vehicle sales continued to increase month-on-month, but due to intense competition in the automotive industry and rapid restructuring of the industrial ecosystem, annual sales did not meet expectations. Additionally, to respond to the drastic market changes, GAC Group also adjusted and increased its sales investments.
