People’s Finance News, March 27 - According to a report from the Philippine News Agency on the 27th, Philippine President Marcos stated that the 48th ASEAN Summit and related meetings will be held from May 8 to 9 in Cebu Province, Central Philippines. During a media interview in Silang City, Cavite Province, Marcos said that despite the ongoing oil crisis related to conflicts in the Middle East, after consultations with leaders from other Southeast Asian countries, it has been decided that the ASEAN Summit will proceed as scheduled. He noted that this ASEAN Summit and series of meetings will be scaled down to discuss current challenges and collective responses, with main topics including the supply of oil and petroleum products, food supply and prices, and the movement of labor.
