Zhejiang Provincial Market Supervision Administration Food Safety Supervision and Inspection Information Bulletin (Issue No. 10, 2026)
Recently, the Zhejiang Provincial Market Supervision Administration organized random inspections of 22 categories of food products, including grain processing products, cooking oils, oils and their products, condiments, meat products, dairy products, beverages, convenience foods, frozen foods, candy products, tea and related products, alcoholic beverages, vegetable products, fruit products, fried foods and nut products, sugar, aquatic products, starch and starch products, pastries, bean products, infant formula foods, catering foods, and edible agricultural products, totaling 637 batches of samples. According to the national food safety standards for inspection and determination: 630 batches of random inspections passed, 7 batches failed (see attachment). The non-conforming items involve excessive food additives, excessive pesticide and veterinary drug residues, failure to meet quality indicators, and other contaminants. The specific situation is as follows:
I. Excessive Food Additives
(1) The Yumi Food Business in Yueqing City sold pure red bean paste mooncakes produced by Taizhou Linhai Qiaomeijia Food Co., Ltd. on Taobao, which did not meet the national food safety standards for dehydroacetic acid and its sodium salt (calculated as dehydroacetic acid). Linhai Qiaomeijia Food Co., Ltd. raised objections regarding the authenticity of the product. Upon investigation, the product was found to be counterfeit.
(2) The Yunyan Subfood Business in Wucheng District, Jinhua City, sold pecan nuts with a pepper and salt flavor produced by Hangzhou Lin’an A Xiong Food Co., Ltd., which did not meet the national food safety standards for sulfur dioxide residue. Hangzhou Lin’an A Xiong Food Co., Ltd. raised objections regarding the authenticity of the product. Upon investigation, the product was found to be counterfeit.
(3) The Grain Source Food Store in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou City, sold dried lettuce, which did not comply with the national food safety standards for brilliant blue and lemon yellow.
(4) The Zhirong Fruit Store in Xiangshan sold longan, which did not comply with the national food safety standards for sulfur dioxide residue.
II. Excessive Pesticide and Veterinary Drug Residues
The Quanrui Fruit Store in Wucheng District, Jinhua City, sold bananas that did not meet the national food safety standards for imidacloprid.
III. Quality Indicators Not Up to Standard
The Hongjin Haoxiduo Food Supermarket in Wuxing sold spicy strips produced by Henan Jinwei Garden Food Co., Ltd., which did not meet the product’s indicated standards and quality requirements for peroxide value (calculated as fat).
IV. Other Contaminants
The Fengteng Food Factory in Ouhai District, Wenzhou City, produced smoked chicken (cured meat products), which did not meet the national food safety standards for nitrite (calculated as sodium nitrite). The Fengteng Food Factory in Ouhai District, Wenzhou City, raised objections regarding the inspection results and requested a re-inspection. The initial inspection conclusion was upheld after the re-inspection.
For the non-conforming products found in the random inspection, our bureau has instructed the relevant municipal market supervision departments to investigate and handle them in accordance with the law. The Wenzhou market supervision department is required to urge food production enterprises to clarify the product flow, recall non-conforming products, analyze the reasons, and make corrections; the market supervision departments in Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Huzhou, Jinhua, and other places are required to urge the relevant units in the food operation link to take immediate measures such as shelf removal to control risks. The municipal market supervision departments are required to report the verification and disposal situation to the Zhejiang Provincial Market Supervision Administration within three months from the date of this announcement and publish it to the public. This is hereby announced.
