Thailand’s Prime Minister Anutin stated that in response to the crisis caused by rising oil prices in Thailand due to the situation in the Middle East, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been actively communicating with relevant countries. According to the current agreement reached with Iran, Thai oil tankers can safely pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

Anutin pointed out that the government will focus on advancing four areas of work: diplomatic coordination, energy security, commodity price control, and livelihood protection, and he urged the public to implement energy-saving measures.

Thailand’s Foreign Minister Sihasak stated that Thailand has proposed holding a special ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ meeting to discuss solutions to ease the tensions; Thailand’s oil reserves are stable, and it is actively seeking other energy sources through diplomatic channels.
