Guotai Haitong's net profit in 2025 is 27.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 113.52%.
On the evening of March 26, Cathay Haitong released its 2025 annual report. According to the annual report, at the end of 2025, Cathay Haitong’s consolidated total assets exceeded 2.1 trillion yuan, and its net assets attributable to shareholders were 330.4 billion yuan, ranking first in the industry across the board. Its capital strength is even more robust and steady; it achieved operating revenue of 63.1 billion yuan, net profit attributable to shareholders of 27.8 billion yuan, and non-recurring items net profit attributable to shareholders of 21.4 billion yuan. Multiple business indicators—including brokerage business revenue, stock and fund index trading value, margin financing balances, IPO underwriting, and the number of cases under review at year-end—ranked first in the industry, with more professional and comprehensive service capability; its compliance and risk-control capabilities are leading in the industry, maintaining the highest international credit rating for Chinese securities firms. It was successfully selected for major indexes such as the CSI A500, SSE 50, FTSE China A50, and FTSE China 50, and its operations and management are more intensive and efficient.
The announcement also states that 2025 was an extraordinary year in Cathay Haitong’s development history. As a merger through absorption involving the largest A+H dual-market transaction ever in China’s capital market history, the company efficiently completed the deal closing, orderly advanced integration and synergy, and, based on its post-merger stronger endowment capabilities, actively served the country’s and Shanghai’s major development strategies. It solidly carried out the “five-part articles” of finance, and focused on improving the quality and efficiency of business operations and management. Both its asset scale and operating performance reached record highs, initially achieving the effect of “1+1 > 2.”
