Gamma Data released the “February 2026 Monthly Report on China’s Gaming Industry.” The data shows that in February 2026, the actual sales revenue of China’s domestic gaming market was 33.231 billion yuan, a month-on-month increase of 2.35% and a year-on-year increase of 18.96%. The year-on-year growth rate reached a nearly 10-month high; the actual sales revenue of China’s client game market reached 8.87 billion yuan, a month-on-month increase of 7.7% and a year-on-year increase of 56.75%; the actual sales revenue of China’s mobile gaming market reached 22.729 billion yuan, a month-on-month increase of 0.48% and a year-on-year increase of 9.05%; the actual sales revenue of domestically developed games in overseas markets reached 2.114 billion USD, a month-on-month increase of 1.77% and a year-on-year increase of 40.46%.
Wang Yansen from Huajin Securities stated that the market continues the steady trend since the end of 2025, with evergreen games at the top continuing to serve as a revenue stabilizer. Additionally, some new products have shown good user activity and payment performance after their launch, together supporting short-term growth. Dongwu Securities’ research report pointed out that in 2025, many blockbuster new games from various manufacturers focused on long-term operational categories. Coupled with the ongoing deepening of the industry’s “quality” and “cultural export” dual trends, they remain optimistic about the continuation of the gaming sector’s prosperity and the sustained release of product cycle dividends in 2026.
