Trump to Appoint Zuckerberg, Huang Ren-hsiung and Other Tech Giants to Technology Committee to Weigh in on AI Policy and Other Issues
Mars Finance reports that, citing The Wall Street Journal, U.S. President Donald Trump plans to appoint some business leaders to a technology advisory board, including Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Oracle founder Larry Ellison, and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. These members will provide input on artificial intelligence policies and other topics.
According to White House officials, the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) will be jointly chaired by White House AI and cryptocurrency advisor Sax and technology advisor Michael Kratsios.
Officials said Trump plans to appoint the first 13 members from the industry on Wednesday, including Google co-founder Sergey Brin. Under an executive order, the committee may eventually include up to 24 members.
