Minister of Commerce Wang Wen Tao Meets WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala: China Supports Reaching an Agreement on WTO Reform Outcomes, Firmly Upholds the Basic Principles of the WTO such as Most Favored Nation Treatment, and Aims to Prevent Global Trade and Economic Relations from Reverting to a Jungle Law Based on Power.

Wang Wen Tao stated that China firmly supports Cameroon in successfully hosting the 14th Ministerial Conference and will strive to promote practical results in areas such as WTO reform, investment facilitation, e-commerce, agriculture, and development.

He pointed out that China actively participates in discussions on fair competition and other issues within the WTO framework, and is committed to improving decision-making efficiency and restoring the operation of the dispute resolution mechanism. China insists on placing development at the center of the WTO work agenda and will work with other members of the Global South to safeguard common interests.
