Top U.S. Commander in Middle East Briefs Trump on Military Options Against Iran
On February 26th local time, U.S. Central Command Commander General Brad Cooper reported to President Trump on military options against Iran. The commander of U.S. Central Command is the highest-ranking military officer in the Middle East. This was Cooper’s first briefing to Trump since the Iran crisis escalated in December last year. According to informed officials, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley also attended the briefing. Previously, Trump had ordered a large-scale troop increase in the Middle East and was considering whether to launch a military strike against Iran. (CCTV News)
